Best cookware of 2026: 10 brands, priced and ranked
Every price and offer below was read on each brand’s own pages on October 13, 2026. One editor set the order by hand; the scores are his opinion, not a lab result.
How we rank
What was personally used: none. Our editor has not cooked with these products, and nothing on this page is a personal result.
What was researched: for every brand we chose the single pan or set we would recommend first, then read its Amazon listing on October 13, 2026 and recorded the cooking surface and construction, the pieces included, the cooktop, oven and dishwasher statements, the warranty, the price and any list price shown, and the star average and rating count. Where Amazon’s creator catalog (Levanta) showed a best-seller rank for the listing, we noted it. We did not test any product.
How the order was set: our editor ranked the brands by hand on the versatility of the surface (heat tolerance, utensil and dishwasher tolerance), the clarity of the construction and warranty, the price for what you get, and the depth of the Amazon review history. No algorithm, and no brand paid for its position; three of the ten brands pay us nothing at all.
What the scores mean
Each score is our editor’s opinion on a 10-point scale of how well the pick fits the typical reader of this page: a surface that suits everyday cooking, honest construction and warranty terms, a fair price for what is in the box, and a review history deep enough to trust. It is not a durability test, a lab result or a customer-review average.
A higher oven rating or a longer warranty is a label fact, not proof the pan will last longer in your kitchen; how a pan is used matters more than any number here.
Transparency
Do you earn money from the links on this page? Mostly. The HexClad button opens hexclad.com through an affiliate link that pays us a commission. The Calphalon, Cuisinel, Nuwave, Cutluxe, imarku and Pyrex links are Amazon affiliate links, created through Levanta, that pay us a commission on qualifying purchases. The Our Place, Lodge and AVACRAFT links open the brands’ own sites and pay us nothing; we have not joined those programs. No brand pays for a review or a ranking.
Why is HexClad first? Because its hybrid surface is the most versatile one on this list by the brand’s own ratings: a stainless lattice you can use metal utensils on, over a ceramic nonstick you can wipe clean, in tri-ply pans rated to 900°F in the oven, induction-ready, dishwasher-friendly and covered by a lifetime warranty against defects. The trade-offs are real and we print them: the three-pan set was $389.00 on Amazon and $399 direct on October 13, and its 4.2-star Amazon average is the lowest on this page. HexClad pays us a commission through its own site; its Amazon creator program declined our application, which is why the button goes to hexclad.com rather than Amazon.
Who decides the order? Galen Schneider, the editor named below. One person, not a formula.
What do the badges mean? Best Overall Pick is what we would point most people to. Value Pick is the option we would choose if price were the deciding factor. Premium Pick is the option we would choose if price were not the deciding factor.
How often is this page updated? The date at the top is the last time we re-read every listing. We update it when a product, a price, a term or an offer changes.
What if something here is wrong? Email [email protected] and we will check it.
How we’re paid: we earn a commission if you buy through our HexClad link, which opens hexclad.com, or through our Calphalon, Cuisinel, Nuwave, Cutluxe, imarku or Pyrex links, which are Amazon affiliate links. The Our Place, Lodge and AVACRAFT links open the brands’ own sites and pay us nothing. Commission never sets the order, which our editor sets by hand. Full disclosure at the bottom.

Best Overall PickHexClad6-piece Hybrid frying pan set, 8, 10 & 12 in. with lids
For: someone who wants one set of everyday pans that can be scraped with metal, put in the dishwasher and finished in a hot oven, and is willing to pay about $400 for three of them ($389.00 on Amazon, $399 on hexclad.com on October 13).
Trade-off: The most expensive pick per pan on this list, and the lowest Amazon star average here (4.2 from 5,911 ratings on October 13). The hybrid surface is a ceramic nonstick under a stainless lattice, so the brand’s own care instructions apply to how slick it stays. Our button opens HexClad’s own site through an affiliate link, not the Amazon listing.
- What you get8-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch pans, each with a tempered glass lid
- SurfaceLaser-etched hexagonal stainless lattice over the brand’s TerraBond ceramic nonstick (listing wording)
- ConstructionTri-ply with an aluminum core; induction and all home cooktops
- Oven / dishwasher / utensilsOven-safe to 900°F (glass lids to 400°F); dishwasher-friendly; metal-utensil safe
- Price Oct 13$389.00 on Amazon; $399 on hexclad.com (sold there as the Hybrid Fry Pan Set with Lids, 6pc)
- Rating Oct 134.2 stars, 5,911 ratings; #6 best seller in Cookware Sets in Amazon’s creator catalog
- WarrantyLifetime against manufacturer’s defects when sold by HexClad Cookware; commercial use excluded
HexClad’s Amazon creator program rejected our application, so our link goes to hexclad.com, where we do earn a commission. We compared the brand with Made In at length in HexClad vs. Made In.
The listing was in stock on October 13, 2026. HexClad’s program description says the cookware is endorsed by Gordon Ramsay; that is the brand’s marketing, not a test result.
Opens hexclad.com through our affiliate link; the 6-piece Hybrid set was $399 there on October 13.

Premium PickOur PlaceTitanium Always Pan Pro, 10.6 in.
For: someone who wants nonstick-style release without any coating to wear off: a tri-ply steel, aluminum and titanium pan the brand rates to 750°F, metal-utensil and dishwasher safe, at $169.00 on Amazon on October 13 (list $199.00) and $179 on the brand’s own site (list $198).
Trade-off: One pan, not a set, so the price per piece is the highest here, and a 1,480-rating history is thin next to Lodge or Cuisinel. The “no-coating nonstick” is the brand’s description of a patented surface; we have not tested its release. Our button opens Our Place’s own site, which calls the pan 10.5 inches where Amazon says 10.6; it is a plain link until we join the program.
- What you getOne 10.6-inch frying pan (the brand’s “everything pan”)
- SurfacePatented no-coating titanium interior; described as PFAS-free (listing wording)
- ConstructionTri-ply stainless steel, aluminum and titanium; induction, gas and electric
- Oven / dishwasher / utensilsOven-safe to 750°F; dishwasher safe; metal-utensil safe

Value PickLodge10.25 in. pre-seasoned cast iron skillet
For: anyone who wants the cheapest serious pan on this list: a 10.25-inch American-made cast iron skillet, pre-seasoned, rated for oven, stovetop, induction, grill and campfire, at $24.90 on October 13.
Trade-off: Cast iron is heavy, needs drying and a wipe of oil after washing, and is never dishwasher-safe; the handle gets hot (Lodge sells a silicone holder separately). Our button opens the 10.25-inch size on Lodge’s own site as a plain link; Lodge’s program is open to application but we have not joined it.

In stock on Amazon and on Lodge’s site on October 13, 2026. Lodge’s own creator program on Levanta pays 10% and is open to application; the Amazon listing we read is sold by a reseller, so our link goes to Lodge directly and is untracked.

Trade-off: The highest price on this list, and the listing names gas, electric and glass cooktops but not induction, so check your range first. The three-layer nonstick is a coating and will eventually wear, even with the brand’s “40% longer lasting” claim against its own Classic line. Amazon showed only one left in stock on October 13.
- What you get13 pieces (lids counted), 2.5-quart to 8-quart, with tempered glass lids
- SurfaceThree-layer nonstick, metal-utensil safe (listing wording)
